Your Discover Egypt Ultimate Odyssey begins as you arrive in Cairo, where a Sunrise team member will greet you at the airport for your arrival process, hotel check-in, itinerary review, and other options. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring or relaxing as you prepare for the Heritage Experience ahead. Overnight

Start the day with breakfast at your hotel in Cairo. You'll be met by your guide, who will accompany you to the Giza Plateau to visit one of the seven wonders of the ancient world: the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus, the famous Sphinx, and the Valley temple facing the great statue. 

Lunch: one of the restaurants on the plateau with a view of the pyramids.

Next, you’ll visit the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum, showcasing thousands of artifacts, including all the treasures from King Tutankhamun’s tomb.

Then we'll return you to your hotel. Overnight

On our 2nd day of sightseeing, we’ll visit the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the Unas Pyramid Complex, the tomb of  Kagemni (KA - GMNI), and the Imhotep Museum in Saqqara.

We will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then continue to Dahshur to see the Bent Pyramid and the Red (or North) Pyramid, both built for Pharaoh Sneferu over 4,000 years ago.

All of the pyramids from Giza to Dahshur, including Memphis, are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Overnight

Take a scenic drive to Alexandria, Egypt’s Mediterranean jewel. Visit the legendary Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, the stunning Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and the Citadel of Qaitbay, built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria. Stroll along the Corniche, enjoying the sea breeze and a delicious seafood lunch. Overnight

Return to Cairo to explore at your own pace. Visit the historic Khan El Khalili Bazaar for souvenirs, explore Islamic Cairo, or simply relax. Overnight

Bid farewell to Cairo as you take a short flight to Aswan, a city famed for its serene beauty and picturesque Nile landscapes. Visit the Aswan High Dam, an engineering marvel that tamed the mighty Nile River. Then, enjoy a scenic boat ride to the enchanting Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis, the goddess of magic and motherhood. Set on a lush island, this breathtaking temple seems to float on the tranquil waters of the Nile, creating a truly magical setting. Overnight

A Day of Culture and Majesty

Rise early for an unforgettable trip to Abu Simbel, where the magnificent rock-cut temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari stand as masterpieces of ancient Egyptian craftsmanship. Gaze at the colossal statues and intricate carvings that celebrate the power of the pharaoh. Returning to Aswan, you’ll take a traditional felucca boat to a Nubian village, where you’ll be welcomed by warm smiles, vibrant homes, and rich cultural traditions. Learn about the Nubian way of life, enjoy a cup of hibiscus tea, and perhaps even hold a baby crocodile! Overnight

Step aboard your luxury Nile cruise, your floating hotel for the next few days. As you glide down the Nile’s legendary waters, enjoy the stunning riverside scenery and golden desert landscapes. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, a rare double temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder. Admire the beautifully preserved carvings that depict ancient medical tools and discover real mummified crocodiles in the on-site museum. Overnight on board

You will dock in Edfu, home to one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples—the Temple of Horus.
